About Marianne

My love to work with fabrics, sewing, crocheting and knitting began many years ago when I learned from my grandmothers and my mother. However, my professional life started at first in the world of public relations and marketing, where I enjoyed more than 10 years of my life.

Thanks to my husband Jan Plachy, who is a wedding photographer, I was exposed to a new dimension of my creative life. Working with lace, ribbons, feathers, crinoline gives me space and opportunity to open my mind of creativity. I simply love this work.

I quit my marketing job in a big international company and decided to learn from the best, including a great young woman, Jane Taylor, who produces headpieces for the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. Today, I make all items by the traditional millinery techniques.

I am not a big business, so I can take a limited number of requests, but at the same time I can give full personal attention to your stationary or headpiece. I am fully involved in each part of the process from design of the stationary or headpiece, fabric selection to the actual production, packaging and hand-delivery to my customer.
